Ultimate Blog Party!

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

My party post:  I'm a SAHM with a six month old boy and I am a researcher at heart.  My blog is all about my experiences as a researcher, and my experiences as a new mom, plus lots of links to sites on nutrition, birth and more.  See my main page http://melissaneece.blogspot.com/2007/09/why-this-blog-exists.html for more information!

I am an alternative mom - I believe in attachment parenting, prointactivism, probreastfeeding, procosleeping, probabywearing, proLive Foods/Raw foods, pro natural health.  This all came about through educating myself throughout my early thirties to the present, and meeting wonderful people along the way.

From the Ultimate Blog site:

It is about friendship, growing your network, and having some good old fashioned blogging FUN!
If you are partying with us for the first time… The Ultimate Blog Party has become an exciting tradition in the “Momosphere”. It is a bloggy carnival where participating bloggers publish a “party post” introducing themselves and then party hop through the linky lists meeting other bloggers.

The blogging life is about relationships — meaningful friendships that grow out of sharing who we are and getting to know one another. And like real life friendships, online friends need a place to meet and mingle.

So if you want to grow your network, meet new friends or promote your site, get ready for the Ultimate Blog Party 2010!!!

  1. Hi! I found you through UBP. Actually, a comment you made on someone else's blog caught my attention. Something about natural healing, etc. I've been learning about herbs and alternative methods for healing our bodies lately. (In fact, I just recently kicked mastitis with a completely natural regimen--no antibiotics.)So interesting! Also, I'm a "foodie" on a "foodie's" life-long journey of research and discovery and life changes. We buy local pastured eggs and raw milk, cream, and butter (even though it's against the law in my state). Ugh. I am an anti-GMO, anti-feedlot, and WANNA-buy-as-much-organic-as-possible kind of gal. I think we have a lot in common, though I just can't do the co-sleeping thing...because I'd NEVER get any sleep (gotta have my own space). But I'm alright with others doing it. :) Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. Feel free to stop by! http://davidsonden.blogspot.com

  2. Hi Melissa, I saw where you just hopped across my blog at the UBP2010, yay! Thanks for your comment, I wanted to visit your blog back & will come read more when I get the chance.
The comment you left on my blog is inspiring a blog post - I need to do some research about diapering on a budget. :) There are good diapers out there that won't break the bank, I have already found some.

    Visit again anytime:

  5. Hi Melissa! It's great to have you visit!

There's a lot of great information on your blog here and I think it's great how much you enjoy research. I love to read and research as well and have been doing a lot of reading and research on herbal medicine in the last year or two.

That picture on your blog header is just amazing! Is that in Scotland or Ireland?

    Have a blessed weekend!

  6. Thanks for stopping by. It has been a great UBP! I have never heard of that book. I will have to read it. It is amazing how many kids now days are starting to appear to have different things. It wasn't like that in the past. I try to feed my daughter as natural as possible (except for the nuts!). You have a really great blog. I will be coming back to read more! Following!

  8. Thank you for visiting my blog. =) Pro raw & live food? Its definitely something different. I'd love to learn more about it. I've never seen myself as the type of person to eat raw food, or live food..reminds me of something i'd see on fear factor. But i'm sure you dont eat spiders and bugs and cow testicles or anything like that..or do you?
I will be back for another visit. Hope you can stop by mine again sometime! Take care.
