Fatigue

These are the best things that I know of for fatigue:

Lots of Nettle Tea (and/or liquid nettle Herb Inc Chloroxygen)

Royal Jelly

A teaspoon working up to a tablespoon of coconut oil per day (to kill off any yeast) - along those lines, about 10 to 20 billion probiotics daily.

Find out what food allergies you have - silent food allergies often cause fatigue (try either the Elisa blood test or the Naet method (Arlington Allergy Center does the Naet method).

If you like caffeine, or think you can't go without it, try yerba mate for awhile, and then you can wean off that much easier.  The caffeine in it is different than other caffienes.

Other causes:
Yeast overload - Coconut Oil, Grapefruit Seed Extract, and Probiotics with a huge reduction/elimination of sugar.

Heavy Metal Toxicity - Cilantro oil/herb, Chlorella, Chloroxygen, z

Adrenal fatigue - stop drinking out of plastic bottles, vitamin D, omega 3s, exercise, and greatly reduce sugar.

Low Iron -
Try Chlorophyll to up your iron levels.  This is especially great for pregnancy/breastfeeding.
Nano-Iron supplement can be helpful.
Do not take any Iron supplement that is in a conventional vitamin.  For most people, that type of supplement leads to constipation.

My Quotes

Here are some quotes that I have written.  I rather like them.

Feel free to quote me!  Melissa Neece

"Don't you just love it when people treat facts like they were

opinions and how dare you offend them with these facts."

"Sorry, but I just can't see the difference in putting a baby in

a dark room alone to cry and putting a child in a dark

closet/basement to cry. Both seem like punishment/abuse to

me."

"The healthiest, happiest life is one that is in balance."

"Its interesting that Wheat Grass is a superfood, and Wheat

Grain is an addictive poison."

"Store Coupons are the vortex of time-consuming evil"

I've just come under the re-realization that there are those that believe that every word of the bible is coming from God's mouth, vs. those that believe that the bible is a true account of what is happening at the time. Both believe in the utter veracity of the Bible, but there sure is a difference."

"Yes, you are a breastfeeding Bigot if you have a problem

with full-term breastfeeding."

"Anti-cio statement - To be completely un-politically correct,

you can always tell moms that if you don't feed your baby at

night, you are making your baby stupid, as most of night

nourishment tends to go directly to growing and maintaining

the brain."  A more tactful way of saying it: If you let a baby cry when he is hungry at night, you are lowering their brain IQ, as night nourishment goes directly to growing and maintaining the brain. As an older baby/toddler there are many gentle strategies to use if they are constantly waking (Elizabeth Pantley's No Cry Sleep Solutions book), but if the baby/toddler is hungry, then s/he should be fed.

"In an ideal world, formula would never have been invented, we would all breastfeed, or use wet nurses, or use milk banks, and SAHM could make some nice income by selling their milk - and most likely, the healthier your diet, the more valuable your milk. :) And this would be considered normal, and no one would think anything of it."

"Ephesians 6:4 - Do not provoke your children to anger but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Not how society or culture would discipline/instruct them but how Jesus would. And in all the stories with Jesus with children, he greatly respected them - he gave them respect when most would ignore them."

"I'll let you....I don't mind if....I'll allow you to" - Do not let any doctor at any stage of your life ever treat you like a wayward disobedient child. He's not the high school principal! There are so many that do - you are an adult and can make your own decisions! Just some empowering talk there - you can do it - as long as it is YOUR choice YOUR decision!"

"80% of the world nurses to age 4. This is just fact, its not the American baby's fault that he/she is born in a society that is bigoted towards full-term breastfeeding (ages 4-6). I too used to think it was weird, until I found out that it should be normal, natural, and is extremely healthy/beneficial in all ways."

"The New Testament church thought circumcision was blasphemous - an outright denial of faith in Jesus Christ. I wish more Christians knew that."

Here are some of my favorite quotes by other people:

"When a child hits a child, we call it aggression. When a child hits an adult, we call it hostility. When an adult hits an adult, we call it assault. When an adult hits a child, we call it discipline." ~Haim G. Ginott

"Today's opinions may not be the same as yesterday's, because they are based on better and fuller evidence. We should quite often have occasion to say 'I used to think that once, but I have now come to hold a rather different opinion'. People who never say as much are either ineffectual or dangerous." Peter Medawar."

..if we just removed wheat from the western diet, we could probably avert a whole array of human ills because when you mix flour with water, what do you get? A gut full of glue! - Naturally Better Kids

"Once in awhile it really hits people that they do not have to experience the world in the way they have been told." Alan Krightley

"People need to understand if they're *deciding* between breastmilk and formula, they're not deciding between Coke and Pepsi. They're choosing between a live, pure substance and a dead substance made with the cheapest oils available." ~ Chele Marmet

Teach children what to think and you limit them to your ideas.
Teach children how to think and their ideas are unlimited.
~Sandra Parks

Guggie Daly quote: "Grief can come about with any loss, whether you feel responsible for it or whether you think it was pushed upon you. Everyone has a right to grieve. Sometimes, people aren't even aware they are grieving. They become attracted to the topic like a moth to light. Something pricks at their soul, but they aren't aware yet why
.  If you are healing from decisions made that can't be taken back...be gentle on yourself. Take the time you need. Let the tears fall. Don't force yourself to think about it, read about it, be a part of it everyday. That is not always the path to healing."

"It's not about where you birth (or how you birth), its about how you are made to feel at your birth!" - Nora Rae Ramirez

From Lynn Heinisch: We would be horrified if our parents were in nursing homes and left to cry because 'they need to self soothe.' When I make that comparison, people normally have the 'ah ha' moment.

From Heal Thyself:  I believe about half of what the CDC says, little that an MD says and about nothing the FDA says.

“It is important to make the distinction between guilt and regret. Guilt is what we feel when we knew better and didn’t act on what we knew. Regret is the sadness we feel when we learn something new that we wish we had known earlier. Making the distinction between guilt and regret is important as we embark on learning different ways of parenting.” -- Pam Leo, Connection Parenting

"Watch out for those wicked men – dangerous dogs, I call them – who say you must be circumcised. Beware of the evil doers. Beware of the mutilation. For it isn’t the cutting of our bodies that makes us children of God; it is worshiping him with our spirits." – Phillipians 3:2-3

"You can't vaccinate believing that your children are protected and then feel that your children are not protected because somehow, some non-vaccinated child is carrying some secret organism that no one else is carrying. It just doesn't make any sense." -- Dr. Larry Palevsky, pediatrician
The Truth About Vaccines

"Intactivist = Someone who believes that ALL human beings, regardless of age, sex, nationality, parents' chosen religion, the tools with which they would otherwise be cut, and how much/how little they would otherwise have amputated, are equally deserving of, and born with, the basic right to genital autonomy." ~Danelle Frisbie

Essential Oil Info

So I have been diving into the world of Essential oils.  I feel like this will be an undertaking of Years of learning - there is so much information out there!
But in my typical way, I've picked up a few nuggets of precious information.

Essential Oil company recommendations:

Butterfly Express - known to be "as good as" the oils from the powerhouses of Young Living and Doterra, these oils are 100% Therapeutic Grade, and they are actually reasonably and affordably priced.  I know women who use oils everyday, and without this company, they couldn't afford to do so.
Here's their official website:
www.butterflyexpress.net/
Here's a friend's distributor site:
http://stores.mybutterflyoils.com/StoreFront.bok
Here's a YL blends comparable chart:
http://butterflyexpress.biz/yl-comparable
Here's a Great Description chart of what each blend can do:
http://www.butterflyexpressions.org/Handouts/physical_emotional.pdf

But if money was no object?  Then you should check out these two companies:
NHR Organics
http://www.nhrorganicoils.com
Forevergreen

Another interesting company is:
Native American Nutritionals
http://www.nativeamericannutritionals.com

http://wholenewmom.com/health-concerns/natural-remedies/announcing-the-best-essential-oils-company-and-a-great-sale/#more-17513

One thing to take into account that you might not have thought of:
As a Christian, it is imperative to me that the herbs, essential oils, salves, etc do NOT come from a pagan facility, company, shop, etc.  I have found that if I use these things, especially if they have been paganly blessed, that they either don't work as well, or that they outright make me sick.  I love finding Christian companies that sell these things - that's the best of both worlds!

My Political Issues - Butt OUT government!

My important issues:
government to butt out of Raw Milk
government to butt out of Home Birth
government to allow Vaccine exemptions in all states (another butt out)
government to butt out of Organic farming
government to stop promoting pesticides and chemicals
government to actually protect babies - ProLife, ProIntact (stop medicaid funding for these acts! Medicaid - butt out!)
government to butt out of Homeschooling
government to promote labeling of harmful foods (gmos, artificial)
government to stop providing formula/ government to provide breastfeeding laws to help working women
government to stop stupid educational testing/ definitely NOT have it tied to teacher's salaries (a child could just fill in all the c answers!)

Of course, these are not the issues that matter to the candidates - but republicans usually tend to be pro-government butting out while democrats tend to be pro-government butting in/nannyin
g.
Unfortunately, this is not always the case, but on average, it tends to be.

I don't like my taxes spent on things that I don't agree with.  I don't like my taxes spent on moral issues either.  You are perfectly welcome to make laws that I don't agree with - but I have an issue with spending my hard earned money on the government spending money on implementing those laws.  Especially things like Medicaid paying for circumcisions and for abortions.

Gluten Free / Paleo

So I have found that actually it is easier and better, and much more healthy to just eat a Paleo diet, than to substitute Gluten free junk.  In the right recipes, almond flour and coconut flour are actually pretty easy to work with.  I would get so frustrated with gluten free recipes that would have this long list of crazy ingredients that were expensive and that I definitely did not have in my pantry.  Paleo is just so much easier!
I will admit that when I can get Gluten free bread for a $1 a loaf, I will often buy a few - but since a loaf usually only lasts for a couple of meals in my family, we don't really have it very often! ha!

From my research, from what I understand:
GAPS is a healing diet.  It should be followed from about 6 months to a year, then when you feel healed, switch over to a Paleo diet, with a side of Gaps.  And it is always good to have your diet consist of at least 20% raw daily - unless you have severe digestive issues that only a GAPS type diet with bone broth and fermented foods can heal.

The Three Rules of Kids Shoes

The three rules of kid shoes:
1) shoes need to be completely flexible (be able to bend the shoe in half)
2) No heel - flat is best - a heel deforms the achilles tendron by tightening/or shortening it
3) wide toe box - the wider the better f
or toes to spread apart - will deform the toes and affect balance if you squeeze the toes together.
4) optimal, but hard to find: a thin sole, so they can feel the ground beneath their feet (grounding)

I recommend my hubby's book: www.kevincneece.com/barefoot

I also recommend Soft Star shoes:

Mono, Herpes, and Spirulina

Mono is actually considered part of the Herpes family of viruses (chicken pox, shingles, fever blisters / Cold Sores) and so Spirulina will help greatly - Spirulina will kill most herpes viruses, and L-Lysine helps too.
Colloidal Silver and Nettle tea will help and provide a lot of energy.
Dave's Healthy Solutions Colloidal Silver 16 oz bottle

Mountain Rose Herbs Nettle Herbal tea

Spirulina in capsules or in powders put in green smoothies.
One of the best Spirulinas is from Earthrise.

Night Nourishment for babies / Toddlers / Preschoolers

If you do decide to wean early (before age 4) its best to make sure that they are getting brain nourishing food, especially before bedtime. Most night nourishment goes directly to growing and maintaining the brain (the brain grows 3x its size in the first 3-4 years of life). Giving them brain nourishing foods within 2 hours of bedtime also might help with night weaning. Avocados, coconut, fis
h, chia pudding, fclo, even just an omega 3 supplement will help. Green smoothies, coconut milk, nettle tea, protein supplements - and lots of superfoods can also help nutrition-wise. Since the digestive system isn't finished forming until age 6-7, children also receive the most viable nutrients through liquid, so if breastmilk is no longer available, just keep that in mind, and try to plan some sort of liquid nourishment. Nature/God planned on humans being breastfed for the first 5-7 years, so if they are not, its best health-wise to somehow make up for it to the best of your ability.

Doctors - Don't lose our trust!

Rant about doctors:

Please, please educate yourself on Breastmilk!  I keep hearing all these crazy myths that doctors spout as fact to women who are then pressured to follow the doctor's orders - even though those orders are usually steeped in ignorance, misinformation, and outright stupidity.  The Hippocratic oath says Do no Harm - but so many (probably in the millions!) of women have had their breastfeeding relationship irreparably harmed by a doctor!
And then for me, its - well, if they don't know the BASICS of breastfeeding, what else do they not know?  Can I really put my health and my life, much less my children's health and lives in this ignorant doctor's hands?  How can you not know about the basics of the most primal lifegiving force of all - the beginnings of all medicine - the miracle that is breastmilk?
Can I trust this doctor with really knowing anything?  I mean, if a doctor told me something completely, outrageously stupid, how can I trust that doctor?  He/she would completlely lose my trust!
And I would hope that I would have the guts to tell him so!

Here's a great place to start with just the basics.  This gives a list of what is actually in breastmilk.

My thoughts on TV and Children

My 2 year old still has not watched much tv (just a couple of minutes here and there at restaurants or friend's houses, and then we try to keep him distracted). The fast pace action on tv and computers will change their brain waves - whether this is a good thing or bad thing is up to you. The AAP recommends no tv at all before 2 years of age, and then about 30 minutes per day after that. A slower
paced program (not so many video cutaways) is usually better (like Mr. Rogers).
Personally, I think most tv gives kids nightmares.

It also gives them ideas!  So many tv shows demonstrate BAD behaviours and habits - to where your child will pick them up!
I think one of the reasons why my child has a sweet winsome personality (besides genetics and nurturing) is because he doesn't watch a lot of crappy tv shows that show the worst that mankind has to offer!

Also, most toddlers and preschoolers do NOT need to see or know about a lot of evil vs good type of story - this can come later around 5 and up when they can understand it better.  And of course, most stories are about conflict - most movies especially have villians and heroes.  I simply don't see these type of stories as age appropriate for little ones who simply don't understand them, or think that monsters really exist.  This leads to nightmares and inappropriate behaviors on the playground (especially kicking and ganging up on other kids).
The only shows that I can so far recommend for a child 2-5 are documentary type shows (like on fire engines, clowns, gymnastics, etc).  I can only recommend two fiction type shows - Maisy (she is always sweet and kind to others) and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.  That's it so far.

Technology, like anything else, can be very addictive. That euphoria and blank stare of children in front of tv is very addictive (like sugary foods) and hard to let go of once addicted. So, like with all things, I think there should be balance. I have always found that the happiest, healthiest kids tend to have a balanced lifestyle - time outside, eating healthy foods, time with friends, time with technology, time with family.
Just watch for addictive behaviors (addicted to tv and/or computer can lead to children more prone to other dangerous addictions).
Also, I was a huge tv addict, thought I would never be able to live without my programs (watched at least 30 a week) and now, being gluten free, I rarely watch tv and find most of my former "must-see" shows a bit boring. Still like The Closer and Fringe and that's about it. Being Gluten-Free has really lifted a lot of brain fog and I'm a lot more capable mentally of doing things that I seriously had a hard time doing before, and I think each month I see more progress. :)

Calcium

I just read an excellent summarization (my favorite kind) article about calcium.
My favorite calcium supplement is nettle tea or Stinging Nettle herbal bottle.
Dr. Christopher makes a great calcium supplement as well as an interesting tooth powder (i've heard good things, but have yet to try it myself).
